Final project for the year! SLICES T4b- the artist village. and my architect is Cesar Pelli. Its a rather hectic process, but fun though (:
first I had to come up with a Mood box, and it looked like this in the end!
and from the moodbox, I decided to use the 3 elements that Cesar Pelli's works are wellknown for : metallic, geometrical and repetative. and therefore I ended up with this moodbox. and from there, I had to move on to start on my shophouse's mock up model.
it was fun, tiring and also costly I should say, hahaha. My workmanship wasn't good, at all on the mock up. it was more like a "just paste" kind of mind set. But, I think the outcome was still acceptable(:
I didn't take photos of my final model though. Forgetful me):
anyway, I think that the project has taught me that time management is really crucial if I wanna do well. Otherwise, when time gets tight, I either can't complete, or just rush through and the result is not satisfactory indeed.
oh, and we had a fun exercise too. kelly asked us to snip and fold some coloured paper, play around with it, and here is the outcome!
it turned out to be something creative and interesting(:
and we had to think of what our spaces could be too, I wrote for mine : playground and MYHOME. Its an interesting way to spark our thoughts when we have no idea on how to start off in any projects.(:

THE LABYRINTH(:
ANDANDAND!! finally! OUR MAIN PROJECT!
we had to do a 400 by 400 by 400 actual model in true materials!
i used acrylic and wood for the model.
we had to transfer our tessellation to the model. and it must have the concept of the "escher model".
the model is a very challenging task for me, because i only took D&T in Sec02!
and also, i had to transfer my tessellations from paper to 100 by 100 tiles.
i completed it rather fast, even before completing my actual model. haha!
and this is my completed model!!

Using our ontography, we had to make a set of tesselations!
1 in colour; 1 in patterns; 1 in gradient of blacks
haha. its very fun yet tiring. because the tessalation is 400mm by 400mm!
and after dat we used the tesselation to make a model out of satay sticks.
we had to make 4, 3 using normal paper for the interior and 1 using Z0 card for the interior.
mine! the one using Z0 cards(:

PERSPECTIVE DRAWING(:
hello. today was a confusing day. we started off by doing one-point perspective drawings.
we were introduced to diff methods of drawing one-point perspective.
theres : plotting;estimation;grid.
and we had to use the plotting method to do a A1 size one-point perspective drawing.
one-point perspective drawing

in the afternoon. we had to do a escher model using Z0 cards. hah
i grouped with yiliang and henry. and the model was so so confusing.
it took me some time to fully visualise the model to be made.
and we completed it on time! YAY US!
the model looks something like this. this is not mine though(:
